Refund & Cancellation Policy

Samajik Bandhilki Foundation ("we", "our", or "the Foundation") is a registered non-profit charitable trust operating in Maharashtra, India. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which a donation may be refunded, and the process for requesting one.
We encourage all donors to read this policy carefully before making a donation. By completing a donation on our website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms described below.
1. General Policy on Donations
All donations made to Samajik Bandhilki Foundation are voluntary contributions towards our charitable programmes and social welfare activities. As a general rule, donations are non-refundable once processed, as the funds are committed towards ongoing programmes and beneficiaries.
2. Eligible Circumstances for Refund
We understand that genuine errors can occur. We will consider refund requests in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate payment: If a donor is charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical error
- Incorrect amount: If an amount significantly different from the intended donation was charged due to a technical glitch on our website or payment gateway
- Payment failure with deduction: If your bank account or card was debited but the payment was not confirmed or recorded on our system
- Unauthorised transaction: If you believe a donation was made without your knowledge or consent
Refunds will not be considered for change of mind, personal financial changes, or requests made after 7 days from the date of the transaction.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction date with the following details:
- Full name as entered during donation
- Email address and contact number used during the transaction
- Razorpay Payment ID (available in your payment confirmation or receipt)
- Date and amount of the transaction
- Reason for the refund request

4. Refund Processing
Once we receive your refund request, we will verify the transaction details and respond within 3–5 working days. If the refund is approved, the amount will be credited back to the original payment source (bank account, UPI, or card) within 7–10 working days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Refunds are processed through Razorpay, our payment gateway partner. The exact timeline for the amount to reflect in your account may vary based on your bank's processing times. We have no control over delays on the part of your bank or UPI provider once the refund has been initiated from our end.
5. Cancellation Policy
Once a donation has been successfully processed and confirmed, it cannot be cancelled. If your payment is still in a pending state (e.g., UPI pending or net banking timeout), please wait for the transaction to either complete or automatically fail before contacting us. In most cases, pending transactions that do not complete are automatically reversed by your bank within 5–7 working days.
If a pending transaction has not been reversed after 7 working days, please contact us with your transaction details and we will assist you in coordinating with Razorpay to resolve the issue.
